The sump was a collection point for <br /> surface and washdown water m this area and hydrocarbons were identified as a potential concern. <br /> Total hydrocarbons were not detected above reporting limits in one sedim t sample collected from <br /> the bottom of the sump. <br /> In December 2001,AGE installed a boring(PB-10)in the vicinity of the x120 Storage Building <br /> sump and collected a grab groundwater sample from the boring. The sam le was analyzed for <br /> TPHg,TPHd,TPHmo, and formaldehyde. With the exception of formaldehyde, detected at a <br /> concentration of 110 µg/L,none of the requested compounds were detecte 1. <br /> As discussed above,no formal closure letter has been issued for this UST;however,according to <br /> the PHS-EHD,there are no outstanding issues related to any of the USTs ith the exception of <br /> USTs Number 0002 and 0005). <br /> UST 18820013 <br /> This tank was a 600-gallon AST used for the storage of kerosene that is e empt from UST <br /> regulations. The AST was formerly located northwest of the maintenance building(Plate 4.1.2). <br /> The exact removal date of the AST or whether soil sampling was performed is unknown. The <br /> September 1983 site map shows the AST on the north margin of a concre pad utilized for a gas <br /> pump(AGE, 2001).
