On March 7, 2003, a certified letter was mailed to the facility stating the UST permit for this <br />facility will not be issued due to not meeting the requirement of CCR, Title 23, Division 3, <br />Chapter 16, Section 2637. (Attachment 7) In addition, this letter also stated that operation of <br />this system is a violation of the California Health and Safety Code, (HSC) section 25284. <br />On March 7, 2003, a faxed document from Milton H. DeLacy of Bonfare Market stated that <br />Walton Engineeringpc. will be contacted to survey the referenced site and will have them <br />address the findings of the inspection dated 03/07/2003. A mailed hard copy of this letter was <br />received on March 10, 2003. (Attachment 8) <br />On March 12, 2003, a letter from Walton Engineer confirmed that Walton Engineer, Inc was <br />retained by Bonfare Market to design, permit and install a new fueling system at the referenced <br />site. (Attachment 9) <br />On June 16, 2003, a permit application to replace the existing trench system and to remove the <br />existing waste oil tank was received. (Attachment 10) On June 20, 2003, a deficiency letter of <br />this permit application was issued. (Attachment 11) <br />On July 22, 2003, pictures indicate that this facility is in operation without a permit issued from <br />the EHD. (Attachment 12) <br />On August 29, 2003, the required information for the permit to replace existing trench system <br />and to remove existing waste oil tank were received. <br />On September 2, 2003, the permit to replace the existing trench system and to remove the <br />existing waste oil tank was approved.
