If skin contact occurs, wash with soap and water. If eye contact occurs, flush immediately with copius amounts of water. Consult a physician if irritation persists. C. Although the hardener is only mildly toxic, avoid inhaling fumes by working in well ventilated areas. IX. Following are the bending properties of RED THREAD II pipe at 75° F. O )Sharper bends should be eliminated to avoid stress concentration which could result in premature pipe failure under pressure conditions. X. Flexible Hose Connections. Flexible; hose connections can be installed in product and vent lines at the point where they leave the tank. On suction pump installations they can be put in just before the pump riser. Use of flexible connections can prevent breaking of lines orfittings where settlement might cause tank movement or where expansion and contraction might cause movement of the pipe. The drawings of typical island piping indicate how connections can be made using standard RED THREAD II adapters. If testing, with air or gas is required or requested to be performed, the followinI testing procedures and safety precautions are recommended: A. Chock the integrity of the joints by pressurizing the system to 25 psig and; holding the pressure fora minimum of 1 minute, then soap all joints to teat for leaks. B. If there are no leaks, raise the pressure in the system to a maximum of 50 psig, again hold the pressure for at least 1 minute, and then soap all joints to check for leaks.
