0
A qualified, experienced member of their department gives Ilgnew
personnel "hands-on" training. Policies and procedures arei
explained at such time.
i
Only individuals who are knowledgeable of the safety hazards and
safe practices of workers under their direction and control wilLb
permitted to supervise.
Employees given a new job assignment will be provided a safety
orientation regarding any new hazards prior to beginning a new job.
5. COMMUNICATION
During the initial safety orientation workers will be informed of the
importance of safety at B & T SERVICE STATION
CONTRACTORS. Workers will be encouraged to report any unsafe
conditions to CHRISTOPHER G. FASSE (OWNER) or to their
immediate supervisor without fear of reprisal. All supervisors are
encouraged to create an atmosphere in which fellow workers feel
comfortable in sharing their concerns and recommendations
regarding safety and health issues.
During tailgate meetings, employees will be encouraged to report
any unsafe conditions, and to discuss occupational health concerns.
CHRISTOPHER G. FASSE (OWNER), will review all safety and
health suggestions who will determine if an inspection, further
training, or any other action is necessary.
Employees will be rewarded for safe practices through the use of
employee incentive program.
Disciplinary action will be used to ensure that employees follow safe
work practices:
- verbal warnings (most commonly used)
- written reprimand
- suspensions
- termination (for absolute non-compliance and
endangerment to fellow workers)
Supervisors are to report all disciplinary action taken to
CHRISTOPHER G. FASSE (OWNER).
The workers supervisor, using the Supervisors Report of Accident
Form, will investigate all accidents, illnesses and exposures to
hazardous substances resulting in employment with B & T
SERVICE STATION CONTRACTORS. CHRISTOPHER G. FASSE
(OWNER), to determine if a work area or process should be
inspected and if corrections are needed, will review the investigation
report.
