SITIT Se Health and Safety Plan • <br />nnnnn Service Station # 000 <br />S J WEAVER <br />CONTRACTING ZZZZZ XXXXX, CA `►cccc <br />No facial hair shall be permitted on personnel required or potentially required to wear respirators. <br />Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be utilized by on - site personnel. Each individual will be <br />responsible for the proper inspection of his or her PPE prior to entering the work zone. Hard hats and <br />safety glasses with side shields will be worn on-site at all times. <br />No open flames or smoking will be permitted in the Work zone unless a Hot Work Permit has been <br />initiated. <br />When possible, avoid contact with contaminated materials. <br />5.0 TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND VEHICLES <br />It is the policy of S.J. Weaver Contracting to use tools, equipment and vehicles, that are in a condition <br />that does not pose a hazard to the employee or the environment. This section outlines basic condition <br />and controls for all tools and equipment utilized at ARCO service station #000. Listed below are the <br />required conditions and inspection guidelines. <br />5.1 Condition of Tools, Equipment and Vehicles <br />All electric, air, hand tools, equipment and vehicles are to be properly maintained. All tools and <br />equipment will have appropriate guards and safeties. Hand tools are not to be repaired utilizing tape, <br />wire, glue or any other method to compensate for a proper repair. If there is any doubt, replace the <br />tool. Air compressor hoses will be safety wired. Electrical cords, guards, and safeties will be in proper <br />working order or the tool / equipment is not to be used. <br />5.2 Inspection Reports <br />Inspection of all tools / equipment and vehicles will be performed on a regular basis. <br />6.0 PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT <br />This section provides an outline of the personal protective equipment and guidelines that will be <br />implemented to minimize chemical, and physical exposures and accidents during activities at the site. <br />Employees will (where appropriate) wear personal protective equipment (PPE). <br />These include, hard hats, safety glasses / goggles, hearing protection, foot guards, gloves etc. The project <br />manager under the direction of the S.J. Weaver Contracting Inc. Health and Safety Manager will ensure <br />that equipment selected will meet the following requirements: <br />• It will be appropriate for the particular hazard. <br />• It will be maintained in good condition. <br />S.J.
