The respirator furnished shall provide <br />adequate respiratory protection against the particular hazard for which it is designed. <br />Each respirator shall be individually assigned and not interchanged between workers without cleaning <br />and sanitizing. The cartridge 1 filters shall be changed after seven (7) daily uses. More frequent <br />changes shall occur at the first sign of breakthrough based on contaminant warning properties or the <br />user experiences excessive breathing resistance. Employees are responsible for dating new <br />cartridges when they are replaced. A dot is to be placed on each cartridge with a "Sharpie" waterproof <br />marker each day the respirators are used. After seven dots are accumulated, the cartridges are to be <br />replaced. Respirators shall be cleaned and stored in an uncontaminated sealed container after each <br />use. <br />All employees who have the potential of wearing a respirator shall be fit tested to ensure they utilize <br />the proper size respirator. Personnel that are unable to pass a fit test as a result of facial hair or facial <br />configuration shall not enter a work area where respiratory protection may be required. <br />6.7 Levels Of Protection <br />The level of Personal Protective Equipment must correspond to the level of hazards known, or <br />suspected during a specific activity. <br />6.7.1 Modified Level D: <br />Modified Level D equipment, used as appropriate, is as follows: <br />• Nomex Coveralls (6oz). <br />• Regular Tyvek coveralls. <br />• Outer gloves: leather, cotton, neoprene or nitrile. <br />• Inner gloves: latex or nitrile. <br />• Petroleum resistant covers over the work boots. <br />• Sturdy work boots. <br />• Hard hats. <br />Safety glasses. <br />6.7.2 Level D: <br />Level D equipment, to be worn at all times, is as follows: <br />S.J.
