gmi
The proposed development will consist of -a one-story AM/PM Mini -Mart building, underground
storage tanks, and pump islands with a canopy. The site location and the layout of the proposed
structures are shown on Figure 3.
There were no building and grading plans or design loads available at the time of this report. Based
on our experience with similar projects and the available information, it is assumed that the
building will' be founded on shallow pad and continuous footings. The canopy is assumed to be
founded on square or round column footings, approximately 4 feet in width/diameter and embedded
a minimum of 5 feet below adjacent grade. The foundation loads for the proposed structures were
estimated for the purpose of this report at less than 20 kilopounds (kips) for (building and canopy)
column loads and less than 1.5 kips per linear foot (ldi) for continuous building wall footing loads.
Based upon review of the site topography, it is assumed, for the purpose of this investigation, that
required changes in grade will be limited to minor cuts and/or fills for the purpose of improving site
drainage.
IN 47.095-01
ft\ nsw\97-06i-\atrCn-.d-
2-1
