Michelle responded affirmatively to Scott's question. <br /> -Two damaged leaky containers of what appeared to be laundry detergent, and a damaged cardboard box were found <br /> contaminated with a blue liquid on the ground in the warehouse(IMG 5695-6).The blue liquid and dark staining was <br /> also found on the ground around the damaged laundry detergent containers(IMG 5697-8). <br /> -A spill was found on the ground beneath a pallet of Seventh Generation hand dish soap(IMG 5699-5707).The spill <br /> contaminated a cardboard box of the hand soap found on the ground adjacent the pallet. Facility employees removed <br /> the pallet from the area and placed the pallet in the area of the warehouse where items are determined to be salvaged <br /> or waste.According to Cameron Burke, an employee who oversees the salvaging area, damaged leaky chemical <br /> items that can not be salvaged are disposed of in the trash,without first making a hazardous waste determination. <br /> According to Scott Sommerfeld, cardboard that has been contaminated from a chemical item is disposed of in the <br /> cardboard recycling receptacle,without first making a hazardous waste determination. <br /> -A spill of an unknown liquid was found beneath a pallet of boxes labeled Tide, adjacent to a pallet of boxes labeled <br /> Gain and a pallet of boxes containing Crisco. On the ground in between the pallets of Tide and Gain, a container of <br /> Gain liquid laundry detergent was found (IMG 5710-5712). <br /> -A spill of an unknown purple liquid was found on the ground and appeared to be caused by a leak coming from a <br /> cardboard box containing product(IMG 5717). The spill was found adjacent a pallet of Ajax powder cleaner. <br /> Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. <br /> Immediately stop disposal of the parts washer waste, lead acid battery"Blow Down Booth"wastes, including the vent <br /> filter waste, and damaged leaky chemical items, including cardboard boxes contaminated with chemicals, as <br /> non-hazardous. Stop discharge of lead acid battery and used baking soda spill waste to the sanitary sewer. <br /> Make a hazardous waste determination for all above-mentioned wastes, including the wastes found in the drain <br /> located in the lead acid battery charging area, in the lead acid battery wash rack, in the MTC rectangular container, in <br /> the poly tank, and in the 55-gallon poly drum labeled Aqucar 515 Water Treatment Microbiocide, and manage all of <br /> them according the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. <br /> Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> FA0003833 PRO514244 SCO01 04/29/2019 <br /> EHD 22-01 Rev.09/27/2018 Page 6 of 14 Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator OIR <br /> 1868 E.
