3.0 Response Actions Version :27.10.4 <br /> Step 1 - Drop tools and equipment which will be utilized during the ongoing response. <br /> Step 2 -Wash responder and equipment with water or cleaning agent. <br /> Step 3 -Apply chemical solution using a long handle brush. <br /> Step 4 - Rinse off all residue of the chemical solution. <br /> Step 5 - Remove boot covers and outer boots. <br /> Step 6 - Change SCBA Tank <br /> • Responder returns to Hot Zone, or <br /> . Continues decontamination <br /> Step 6a - If returning to the Emergency: <br /> . Redress at the Hot Line and re-enter the emergency area. <br /> Step 7 - Rewash personal protective equipment <br /> . Allow PPE to air dry or wipe dry with absorbent pads <br /> . Remove boots, gloves, outer garments for disposal, additional off-site decon, or <br /> storage <br /> • Remove SCBA <br /> .
