C. Hazard Evaluation Version :27.10.4
Facility Lighting
The Facility has security lighting at the loading rack, parking areas and through out the tank
farm area. These lights turn on automatically and provide illumination that is sufficient to
detect any acts of vandalism or product releases.
Hazard Identification Tank Tables
Hazard Identification Tank Tables are located in Table C-2.
C.2 DISCHARGE DETECTION
The Facility has a discharge detection program which is intended to limit the effects of a
hazardous material release.
Detection by Personnel
Upon detection of a spill, the individual who discovers the spill is responsible for notifying the
appropriate facility personnel of the spill immediately (including the QI). The reporting
individual should also alert all personnel working in the affected area, and downwind if
necessary, of the incident.
After completing notifications, the reporting individual should implement operational control
measures or immediate countermeasures if possible and if trained and authorized to do so.
As with any emergency, personnel safety is paramount. Operational control measures or
immediate countermeasures should only be taken if there is no risk to personnel safety. Also,
individuals should not re-enter the affected area and if possible, isolate the affected area until
the emergency responders arrive.
. Daily Visual Inspections (including tanks, truck rack, secondary containment,
aboveground piping, etc.) during operating personnel rounds. Refer to Appendix H for
sample Tank Inspection and Secondary Containment Inspection checklists.
• Monthly inspection of tank gauges
. Secondary Containment Inspection
.
