There are numerous internal requirements needed to fulfill this task... they are listed below. 1.0 PURPOSE: Performs a number of tasks including mixing, cleaning, and maintaining liquid paint both in the paint mixing room and paint trailer. Reviews the daily list of production job guides and has paint ready for the painters when the job is ready for paint and or primer. 2.0 GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 2.1 Paint Mixing 2.1.1 Paint mixer needs to be in accordance with procedure PFP 3 8-5.1 entitled Liquid Paint Mixing, Section 4.1 2.1.2 Paint mixer does not need to be trained in paint application and inspection of painted articles like explained in PFP_3 8-5.1. 2.2 Performs daily housekeeping duties 2.2.1 Drum funnel to be closed at all times 2.2.2 All chemical gallons and quarts are to have their tops on and sealed tight 2.2.3 Labels are to be facing outward so they can be seen. 2.2.4 All drums,bins and buckets are to have labels with what it contains 2.2.5 No more than(5) 5gal of open paint buckets are allowed in paint mixing room 2.2.6 All empty drums,bins and buckets are to have empty labels put on them,immediately following it being empty. 2.2.7 All soiled towels are to be thrown away in red supplied cans with lids. 2.2.8 All garbage can are to have lids on at all times 2.2.9 The area inside and outside are to have excellent house-keeping. This includes the outside; left of paint mixing room&right of mixing room. 2.2.10 Always input paint usage and fill out paint logs if applicable. 2.2.11 Unused paint&powder are to be replaced/returned to paint trailers. ' 2.2.12 Remove all labels off drums buckets and bins when empty. 2.2.13 All paints containers are to be organized neatly. 2.2.14 All containers are to be put back into trailer storages where they were removed from. 3.0 There should be(two)5alg lon paint buckets located in the paint mixing room to store Solvent Based Paints and Water- Based Paint. 4.0 When mixing paint in the poly bags provided,bags need to be turned rnside out&ends cut,the ung left over parr needs to be collected in the 5 gallon bucket located and stored in the mixing room;one for Solvent Based and one for Water Based paint. ' 5.0 The poly bags need to be turned inside out&ends cut and allowed to dry before throwing into the garbage receptacle.
