Peters, Jr. —Sr. Director- Environmental, Health & Safety <br /> 3.11 Contractor—A third party or outside vendor retained for a particular scope of work. <br /> 3.12 Designated Environmental Associate (DEA)— Individuals who are specially trained and <br /> responsible for the accurate and consistent management of Hazardous Waste and any other <br /> environmental program that applies to the Location or Workplace. <br /> 3.13 Designated Emergency Coordinator(DEC)— A Designated Environmental Associate who <br /> has been selected by the Location Manager, specially trained, and assigned specific duties <br /> related to Hazardous Waste emergency conditions at Locations which are designated as <br /> Large Quantity Generators (LQG)of Hazardous Waste. <br /> 3.14 DOT—U.S. Department of Transportation. <br /> 3.15 EHS Team -The group of Enterprise and Business EHS personnel. <br /> 3.16 Emergency Action Plan —A site-specific response plan consisting of this Standard and the <br /> site-specific information contained in the Emergency Incident Response Procedures <br /> Flipchart. <br /> 3.17 Emergency Incident Response Procedures Flipchart—A multi-page document developed and <br /> distributed by the Business Continuity Department which provides response procedures for a <br /> number of potential events that could impact Business operations and associate safety. <br /> 3.18 Emergency Spills—Spills, leaks, or releases of Hazardous Materials that are any of the <br /> following: <br /> 3.18.1 Equal to or greater than 15 gallons (55 liters). <br /> 3.18.2 Uncontrolled or have left the HD Supply site. <br /> 3.18.3 Located outdoors. <br /> 3.18.4 Impacting or potentially impacting soil, public areas, waterways, wetlands, or the air. <br /> 3.18.5 Located indoors but exit the building via some route such as under the walls, out the <br /> doors, or down a drain. <br /> 3.18.6 Occurring in-transit, at a third party location, or off-site. <br /> 3.18.7 Of a particularly hazardous nature (e.g., muriatic acid or flammable liquids). <br /> 3.18.8 Of a potentially sensitive nature (e.g., highly visible, of potential concern to a <br /> community, or likely to garner media attention). <br /> 3.19 Emergency Spill Response Vendor— EHS-approved, licensed vendor who is under contract <br /> with HD Supply to perform emergency spill response on an as-needed basis. <br /> 3.20 Enterprise or Company—Another term for all of the HD Supply organization and/or the <br /> corporate-level functional groups. <br /> Any printed copy of this document is an uncontrolled document.
