Peters, Jr. —Sr. Director- Environmental, Health & Safety <br /> 3.33 Location—One of the HD Supply facilities (e.g., branch, store, distribution center, fabrication <br /> facility, etc.). <br /> 3.34 Location Manager— Manager having responsibility for work operations at the facility, site or <br /> general location. The Location Manager may be the same person as the general manager <br /> for the entire facility or may be responsible for a subset of the facility operations. <br /> 3.35 Major Work Rule Violation —An infraction severe enough to warrant termination of <br /> employment for a first offense. <br /> 3.36 Modified Contingency Plan —A compilation of information that is necessary in the event of an <br /> emergency involving Hazardous Waste and which includes emergency contact information <br /> for the Location and for the local emergency response organizations, the location of <br /> emergency equipment, and site plan with evacuation routes noted. <br /> 3.37 Municipal Solid Waste—General debris and trash generated at a Location (e.g., broken <br /> pallets,janitorial debris, and scrap packaging)which does not include Hazardous Materials, <br /> Hazardous Waste, Special Waste, or Universal Waste. <br /> 3.38 Non-Hazardous Waste—For the purposes of this Standard, a material that when discarded <br /> does not present a threat to human health or the environment but shall be managed in the <br /> same manner as Hazardous Waste. <br /> 3.39 Personal Protective Equipment(PPE)— Clothing or devices worn to reduce exposure to a <br /> hazardous material or situation (e.g., safety goggles and glasses, hearing protectors, face <br /> shields, dust masks, gloves, and safety shoes). <br /> 3.40 Planned Episodic Event—An episodic event that the generator planned and prepared for, <br /> including regular maintenance, tank cleanouts, short-term projects, and removal of excess <br /> chemical inventory. <br /> 3.41 Safety Captain—An associate (hourly or salaried)who volunteers for or who is designated to <br /> lead certain safety and health related efforts in a Location such as leading Safety Meetings <br /> and coaching and training associates. Safety Captains include Health and Safety <br /> Representatives. <br /> 3.42 Safety Data Sheet (SDS)-Written or printed material concerning a hazardous chemical, <br /> prepared by the manufacturer of a chemical that contains, among other information, the <br /> name, physical properties and chemical characteristics, hazards associated with the <br /> chemical, appropriate PPE to be worn when using the chemical, storage and handling <br /> requirements, and emergency response procedures. <br /> 3.43 Satellite Accumulation Area—An area in a Location where up to 55 gallons (aggregate)of <br /> Hazardous Waste or one (1) quart of Acutely Hazardous Wastes are initially collected at or <br /> near the point of operation generating the waste, and under the control of the operator of the <br /> process where the waste is generated. <br /> Any printed copy of this document is an uncontrolled document.
