Peters, Jr. —Sr. Director- Environmental, Health & Safety <br /> 4.1.6 All HD Supply Locations that generate any amount of Hazardous Waste shall set up <br /> and use a Central Accumulation Area for the accumulation of Hazardous Waste. <br /> 4.1.7 Inappropriate behaviors related to Hazardous Waste (e.g., alleged observation or <br /> knowledge of unauthorized disposal, failure to report a spill or release to EHS, etc.) <br /> shall be reported as soon as practicable to the Location Manager, EHS Team, Senior <br /> Business Leadership, and/or the HD Supply AlertLine®. <br /> 4.2 Waste Classifications and Profiling <br /> 4.2.1 Enterprise EHS department shall be responsible for evaluating waste streams and <br /> products which are used or handled by Locations, and for performing a waste <br /> determination for each waste stream. This includes the evaluation and classification <br /> of waste streams generated by spills or releases, and for other non-routine waste <br /> streams. The waste determination shall include a waste classification and the <br /> assignment of a waste profile. <br /> 4.2.2 In cases where Business EHS leaders direct the classification of waste streams, the <br /> Enterprise EHS department shall be consulted for the final review and assignment of <br /> the waste profile and the senior Enterprise EHS leader shall have final authority for <br /> the approval of a waste classification and disposal methods. <br /> 4.2.3 Documentation of the methodology for waste determination and waste profiling shall <br /> be maintained in the master files by the Enterprise EHS department. Certain waste <br /> streams (e.g., process wastes and industrial wash water) may require laboratory <br /> analyses to be paid for by the Business to accurately classify and profile the waste <br /> for proper disposal. <br /> 4.2.4 Enterprise EHS department shall utilize SECAT to provide waste classification and <br /> waste profile information to the Locations. Information in SECAT shall be used by <br /> Locations to assist in determining the proper handling, labeling, and marking <br /> requirements for waste streams generated at each Location. <br /> 4.3 Generator Status <br /> 4.3.1 The EHS Team is responsible for determining Hazardous Waste Generator Status <br /> designations for Locations based on historical generation of Hazardous Waste. <br /> 4.3.2 The Enterprise EHS department shall review Locations' Generator Status <br /> designations periodically and in collaboration with Business EHS leaders shall <br /> communicate any changes to the Locations' Generator Status designations to the <br /> Location Managers. <br /> 4.3.3 Generator Status may change at any time during the year based on the amount of <br /> Hazardous Waste generated. <br /> 4.3.4 If such change mid-year takes place, all requirements associated with the new <br /> Generator Status shall be implemented immediately or as soon as practicable. <br /> Any printed copy of this document is an uncontrolled document.
