Peters, Jr. —Sr. Director- Environmental, Health & Safety <br /> 4.3.5 The new Generator Status shall remain in place for no less than one (1) year from <br /> the change, unless otherwise authorized by the Enterprise EHS department. <br /> 4.3.6 Locations shall be designated as LQG, SQG, VSQG, or the jurisdictional equivalent <br /> and such designations shall be electronically stored in SECAT. <br /> 4.4 Community Right-to-Know and Emergency Response Arrangements <br /> 4.4.1 The Enterprise EHS department shall make arrangements with Local Emergency <br /> Response Organizations, or documentation shall be maintained indicating their <br /> declination to enter into arrangements, to respond to Hazardous Materials incidents <br /> at Locations. <br /> 4.4.2 The Enterprise EHS department shall file or facilitate the filing of community right-to- <br /> know reports initially at Location set-up and periodically thereafter. <br /> 4.4.3 The Enterprise EHS department may additionally coordinate an introductory facility <br /> visit by the Local Emergency Response Organizations. <br /> 4.5 Designated Environmental Associates (DEAs) <br /> 4.5.1 Each Location shall have at least two (2) DEAs. Locations with more than 50 <br /> associates and/or multiple shifts shall have at least three (3) DEAs. <br /> 4.5.2 Associates in the roles listed below shall be trained and shall serve as DEAs: <br /> 4.5.2.1 Location Manager. <br /> 4.5.2.2 Other salaried Location-based Operations-type managers (e.g., Operations <br /> Manager, Assistant Manager, etc.). <br /> 4.5.2.3 Safety Captain. <br /> 4.5.3 DEAs shall be responsible for the day-to-day compliant and consistent management <br /> of Hazardous Waste at Locations and Workplaces (e.g., Incidental Spill response, <br /> labeling and containerizing of Hazardous Waste, coaching of associates, conducting <br /> waste area inspections, and managing records). <br /> 4.5.4 Each DEA shall be trained in accordance with the training requirements provided in <br /> Section 5.0 of this Standard within the first 30 days of assignment to a DEA role and <br /> before managing or supervising the management of Hazardous Waste. <br /> 4.5.5 DEAs shall be capable of responding to and trained to recognize a potential spill or <br /> release of a Hazardous Material or Hazardous Waste and take appropriate action <br /> including isolating the area and initiating an evacuation. <br /> 4.5.6 DEAs shall ensure that an up-to-date Modified Contingency Plan is posted in or near <br /> the Location Manager's office adjacent to a telephone if there is no hardwired <br /> telephone within 10 feet of the Central Accumulation Area. <br /> Any printed copy of this document is an uncontrolled document.
