Peters, Jr. —Sr. Director- Environmental, Health & Safety <br /> 4.5.7 Only DEAs are permitted to conduct the following activities: <br /> 4.5.7.1 Respond to and clean up an Incidental Spill. <br /> 4.5.7.2 Maintain the Central Accumulation and Satellite Accumulation Areas. <br /> 4.5.7.3 Generate Hazardous Waste labels from SECAT and label Hazardous <br /> Waste Containers. <br /> 4.5.7.4 Place Hazardous Waste containers in the Central Accumulation Area or set <br /> up Satellite Accumulation Containers. <br /> 4.5.7.5 Conduct periodic inspections of the Central Accumulation and/or Satellite <br /> Accumulation Areas. <br /> 4.5.7.6 Review and sign Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifests or Bills of Lading for <br /> Universal Waste at the time of the Hazardous Waste pick-up. <br /> 4.5.8 DEAs who fail to perform their established duties may be subject to disciplinary <br /> action up to and including termination of employment with HD Supply. <br /> 4.6 Designated Emergency Coordinators (DECs) <br /> 4.6.1 Each Location designated as a Large Quantity Generator shall have at least two (2) <br /> DECs. <br /> 4.6.2 DECs shall be select Designated Environmental Associates at Locations categorized <br /> as Large Quantity Generators who have been trained, and who have accepted the <br /> responsibility for implementing and coordinating all emergency response measures <br /> as described in the Location's Contingency Plan. <br /> 4.6.3 DECs may perform the duties of and function as one of the Location's DEAs. DEAs <br /> may not perform the duties of a DEC without benefit of additional training and <br /> certification. <br /> 4.6.4 DECs shall be trained on the requirements of the Location's Contingency Plan and <br /> shall have authority to commit available Company resources in order to implement <br /> the Contingency Plan in the event of an emergency. <br /> 4.6.5 DECs who fail to perform their established duties may be subject to disciplinary <br /> action up to and including termination of employment with HD Supply. <br /> 4.7 Central Accumulation Area (CAA) <br /> 4.7.1 Without exception, each Location shall set up and maintain a Central Accumulation <br /> Area. This includes those facilities that generate or that may generate Hazardous <br /> Waste on rare occasions. Links to diagrams of approved Central Accumulation <br /> Areas and Satellite Accumulation Areas are included in Appendix A of this Standard. <br /> Any printed copy of this document is an uncontrolled document.
