Peters, Jr. —Sr. Director- Environmental, Health & Safety <br /> 4.7.2 Central Accumulation Areas shall be set up as based on the applicable examples <br /> found in Appendix A, and shall be established to meet the following minimum <br /> requirements: <br /> 4.7.2.1 Inside a secure building or secured under a permanent roof structure on a <br /> sealed impermeable surface away from any drains and at least 50 feet <br /> from a property line. (The required 50-foot setback from the property line <br /> includes Central Accumulation Areas located inside of buildings, in addition <br /> to those located outdoors in secured, covered structures). <br /> 4.7.2.2 In an area protected from traffic, sparks, flames, and excessive heat. <br /> 4.7.2.3 In an area with sufficient space to prevent blocking any part of the area <br /> with merchandise, lift equipment, or other items. <br /> 4.7.3 Central Accumulation Areas shall contain the signage and postings listed below. <br /> Jurisdiction-specific requirements may also apply to signage of Central Accumulation <br /> Areas. Refer to the Jurisdictional-Specific Hazardous Waste Requirements in <br /> Appendix D of this Standard, or contact the EHS Team for assistance. <br /> 4.7.3.1 An approved Hazardous Waste Accumulation Area sign. <br /> 4.7.3.2 Signs to indicate different Zones (e.g., Black Zone, Red Zone, Yellow <br /> Zone). <br /> A Modified Contingency Plan consisting of the Emergency Contact Sheet <br /> with up-to-date Location and emergency contact information, and a current <br /> site plan and facility evacuation map. <br /> 4.7.3.3 The current evacuation map shall show at a minimum the locations of the <br /> Hazardous Waste Accumulation Area(s), Hazardous Materials storage <br /> areas, emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers and spill kits, and <br /> evacuation routes for the building and the site. <br /> 4.7.3.4 A"No Smoking" sign. <br /> 4.7.3.5 An "Emergency Eyewash" sign. <br /> 4.7.3.6 A fire extinguisher sign or placard. <br /> 4.7.4 The approved red-yellow-black color coding system shall be used to identify and <br /> properly segregate different types of Hazardous Waste in the Central Accumulation <br /> Area. <br /> 4.7.5 Zones shall be established within the Central Accumulation Area to ensure <br /> Hazardous Waste is properly segregated. Requirements for the establishment of <br /> Zones and waste segregation are provided in Appendix A. <br /> Any printed copy of this document is an uncontrolled document.
