(6) Procedure Area: While wearing protective gloves, the procedure area shall be <br /> disinfected again before use with a disinfectant if the area has been used for any <br /> activity following its previous disinfection. <br /> (7) Tables: While wearing protective gloves, the tables used shall be <br /> decontaminated after each use using a disinfectant per manufactures directions, <br /> and any waste that is generated shall be discarded. <br /> (8) Tattoo Machine and Clip Cord: While wearing protective gloves, a plastic wrap <br /> barrier is placed on the tattoo machine, and a disposable clip cord sleeve (cover) <br /> is placed on the clip cord. Both are discarded immediately after each use. <br /> (9) Reusable Instruments, Calipers, needle tubes. Etc: All reusable instruments <br /> calipers and needle tubes are sterilized prior to use, once used they are used <br /> they are immediately stored in a liquid disinfectant (madacide), then washed <br /> using brushes rinsed and packaged, and ran through the steam autoclave for <br /> sterilization. Packages are labeled with the name of instrument, date and initals. <br /> (10)Permanent Cosmetic Machine: n/a we currently do not have a permanent <br /> cosmetic machine at our facility. <br /> B. Reusable Instruments or Disposable: (Ca. health and safety code 119309 and <br /> 119315) <br /> (1) Needle Tubes: Use all pre-sterilized needle tubes, once used during a procedure <br /> the tube is immediately stored in a liquid disinfectant (madacide), then scrubbed <br /> ,(washed) using a brush, rinsed and packaged in peal packs, and put through the <br /> steam autoclave for sterilization, the packages are labeled with the name of the <br /> instrument batch#, date and initials of the operator. A sterilization log is keep <br /> above the Autoclave here the operator lists the date, load, contents, operator, <br /> time and temperature.
