Disposable ink cups are used during the tattoo, <br /> once complete all waste is disposed of; needle are placed in the sharp container <br /> located in the procedure room and needle tubes are placed in containers <br /> containing madacide. The Procedure room is decontaminated after and before all <br /> procedures using a disinfectant per manufactures directions. <br /> (2) Piercing: The procedure area is decontaminated using a disinfectant prior to a <br /> client entering. The tray is first lined with a disposable blue towel. Sterilized <br /> Calipers are laid out on the blue towel, along with sterilized needle, and sterilized <br /> packaged jewelry. Before a piercing begins, the practitioner washes his hands, <br /> and puts on disposable gloves. The practitioner then uses a alcohol swab to <br /> clean the area to be pierced. Once complete all waste is disposed of; needles <br /> are placed in the sharp container located in the procedure room and Calipers are <br /> placed in containers containing madacide. All waste is disposed of. The <br /> Procedure room is decontaminated after and before all procedures using a <br /> disinfectant per manufactures directions. <br /> (3) Permanent Cosmetics: The procedure area is decontaminated using a <br /> disinfectant prior to a client entering. The tray is first lined with a disposable blue <br /> towel. Sterilized tools are laid out on the blue towel, and plastic wrap is applied to <br /> the tattoo machine, and a plastic sleeve added to the clip cord.
