v <br />D. Suspected and infectious communicable diseases are reported. The <br />intrafacility policies will then be initiated. <br />Il. T?ANSFER <br />It is the policy of this facility to transfer all patients with communi- <br />cable diseases if the health of other residents/employees is compromised. <br />III. REPORTABLE DISEASES <br />A. Conditions that are considered reportable will be communicated to <br />the County Health Department (see Reportable Disease List). This <br />will be done according to facility procedure. <br />B. All sudden or extraordinary outbreaks of unusual or serious diseases <br />will be reported immediately by telephone to the local health officer. <br />Investigations of all reports of major disease outbreaks shall be <br />made by the local health officer and the results reported to the <br />State Health Department. <br />IV. ISOLATION <br />It is the policy of this facility to abide by the Guidelines For The <br />Prevention and Control of Nosocomial Infections by the Center for Disease <br />Control in Atlanta Georgia 1984. <br />V. EMPLOYEE HEALTH <br />Refer to Employee Health section. <br />VI. VOLUNTEER HEALTH <br />If the volunteer is in the facility T;.0 -!TTY or more hours per <br />month, the policies listed in the Employee Health section will be applied. <br />VII. VISITOR HEALTH <br />The Infection Control Committee will consider limiting or restricting <br />visitors during community disease outbreaks. <br />Page # (�I <br />
