When checking decedents out of the refrigeration unit for transfer to the alternate <br /> refrigeration location, record the below information in the Checked Out section of the <br /> Refrigeration Log (FIN-CS085): <br /> i. Date and time checked out of the location <br /> ii. Name of the person checking out the decedents and the word `Overflow' as the <br /> purpose of the check out <br /> iii. Alternate refrigeration location (location number) to which the decedents are <br /> being transferred <br /> e. Transport the decedents to the alternate refrigeration location <br /> Note: If the PCC is using Carepoint, when transferring a decedent to an alternate <br /> refrigeration location, utilize the Temporary Delivery function. <br /> f. Retrieve the decedents from the alternate refrigeration location when refrigeration <br /> space becomes available at the original facility or when necessary for preparation or <br /> other transportation. <br /> g. Check the decedents back into the original facility through Carepoint, if applicable, or <br /> on the Refrigeration Log(FIN-CS085). <br /> 3. When receiving decedents to accommodate another location's overflow: <br /> a. Post a Refrigeration Overflow Log (FIN-CS086) on (or near) each refrigeration unit <br /> accommodating the overflow. <br /> i. Record the location's name, location number and refrigeration unit identifier <br /> accommodating the overflow at the top of each log. <br /> b. Immediately following placement of the decedents in the refrigeration unit, record the <br /> below information in the Check In section on the Refrigeration Overflow Log (FIN- <br /> CS086). <br /> i.
