Boring and Trench Logs <br /> The Professional Geologist, Engineering Geologist, or Professional Engineer or field per- <br /> sonnel working directly under such a profession will record information on individual <br /> boring and trench logs. They will record subsurface information, sampling depths,PID read- <br /> ings, and well construction information on individual boring logs and document trench <br /> excavations on individual trench logs. <br /> 12.2.1. Boring Logs <br /> The following information will be recorded on individual boring logs. <br /> • project name and number, <br /> • unique sample identifier (e.g., "LFG-1-5") denotes the sample was collected at <br /> LFG(or gas probe)well LFG-1 at a depth of approximately 5 feet bgs), <br /> • sample collection method, <br /> • • date sample was collected, <br /> • name of person logging and sampling, <br /> • descriptions/visual classifications of surface and subsurface materials encountered, <br /> which include: <br /> • general descriptions of cover fill soils, as applicable, overlying the wastes, <br /> • general descriptions of wastes, and alluvium including an estimated percentage <br /> of wastes relative to fill soils based on visual observations and a general de- <br /> scription of the primary constituents of the wastes (e.g., wood, glass, metal <br /> debris, etc.), <br /> • Unified Soil Classification System (USCS) classification of soils, based on <br /> field observations, and, <br /> • lithologic descriptions of native materials/geologic formations (alluvium). <br /> 104690061R5nel.dm 32 N/Wga*uure <br />
