STATE WATER RESOURCES CONTROL BOARD
In Reply Refer
INTERNAL MEMod
To® 41 5/JMP
TO: McDermott FROM: Jim Parsons
---QL,utxa1—Valley Rqgional Board DIVISION OF PLANNING AND RESEARCH
DATE: SIGNATURE.
SUBJECT: City of Stockton Austin Road Solid Wasteaisposal Site,
San Joaquin County
We inspected the subject site on the afternoon of October 17,
1978. A substantial fraction of the site lacked adequate cover
thus creating threatened problems with windblown litter and with
vectors such as birds and flies. Further, the cover material
being used is highly pervious and not placed in a manner to shed
runoff from direct precipitation off of the site. Thus, this
rainfall will mostly pond on top of the site, percolate through
the wastes creating a leachate, and become a groundwater quality
degradation threat.
?RCB 326 (3.75)
rname
86102-"S 473 SM 09P
