October 01 , 1995
Ed Padilla
Senior Environmental Health Specialist
San Joaquin County Local Health District
445 N. San Joaquin Street
Stockton, CA 95201
RE: WINTERIZATION PLAN FOR FRENCH CAMP SANITARY LANDFILL
Mr. Ed Padilla
The following Winterization Plan is submitted for review:
I . LOCATION ANDD-E&MI-PTION OF WINTER DISPOSAL SITE
The location of the disposal area will be adjacent to the scale house
exit at the south/east corner of the landfill. The area to recieve
waste during this time is shown on the attached map. The amount of
waste to be received during the winter period is based on the new
grinding operation the volume received will be approximately 10-50
tons per day, for the 1995-96 winter season.
11. WINTERIZATION PAD AND ACCESS ROAD
All winter roads are in place. All roads and pad to be used with the
exception of roads adjacent to the working face, are asphalt with a
compacted aggregate base material. These roads provide vehicles
access to and from the winter pad.
Ill . DRAINAGE
Storm water will be directed towards the perimeter drainage ditch.
Areas where ponding may occur, such as depressions due to
settlement, will be pumped into the concrete lined ditch so the
water may be carried to the retention pond.
