OTHER ANALYSIS
Groundwater samples were collected from landfill supply well LW-1 and analyzed for all
monitoring and field parameters. Results are included.
COMPLIANCE RECORD
The County submitted an Evaluation Monitoring Plan (EMP)to the Central Valley Regional
Water Quality Control Board on October 21, 2002. The objective of Evaluation Monitoring was
to delineate the suspected release affecting groundwater in the vicinity of MW-3. The results of
evaluation monitoring were presented in the Engineering Feasibility Report, submitted October 1,
2003, and is briefly summarized here.
Groundwater samples from temporary borings TB-1 and TB-2 were found free of contaminants.
A soil gas well was bored to sample soil gas above the water table near groundwater monitoring
well MW-3. Four VOCs were detected. However, these compounds were not detected in the
water samples taken at MW-3. Monitoring data from MW-3 continues to show no impact by
VOCs at this time. These results lead to the conclusion that groundwater is not impacted by the
presence of the Foothill Landfill at this time.
a Foothill Sanitary Landfill 5 Department of Public Works/Solid Waste
2 N Semester/Annual 2003 Groundwater Monitoring County of San Joaquin-January 30,2004
