Wood <br /> •Wood waste from electronics consists primarily of laminated wood products. The majority of <br /> this waste is non-recyclable and will be Iandfilled through San Joaquin County's solid waste <br /> program. <br /> Other <br /> Other components of concern in electronics waste which may be encountered include batteries <br /> and ballasts. Batteries, if collected will be recycled through the Rechargeable Battery Recycling <br /> Corporation. Ballasts will be disposed of through the County's local Conditionally Exempt <br /> Small Quantity Generator program. <br /> County Responsibility <br /> Onsite Electronics Recycling's goal is to manage San Joaquin County's Electronics Program, <br /> requiring minimal effort by County personnel. However, in order to provide an all-inclusive and <br /> convenient program to Residents, the Onsite Electronics Recycling is requesting the County <br /> provide the following: <br /> • A paved area, approximately 40 x 8 feet at the Lovelace Transfer Facility for collection <br /> and dismantling operations. <br /> • Collection and transportation of electronics from the North County and Foothill Landfill <br /> locations <br /> • Verification of California use of collected electronics a the North County and Foothill <br /> Landfill and at Lovelace on Sundays when Onsite Electronics Recycling staff are not <br /> present <br /> • Data on any County labor and transportation costs for annual reporting <br /> San Joaquin County Proposal Page 16 of 22 <br />
