WMU D-99 Construction September 1999 <br /> Forward Landfill Job No.986011.02 <br /> Monitor conducted testing and observations to ensure compliance with the <br /> specifications. <br /> 5.5.1 Geocomposite Factory Quality Control <br /> Upon arrival by truck shipment, the unloading and storage of the <br /> geocomposite rolls were observed by Vector's CQA Monitor. Each roll was <br /> logged in by roll number and crossed checked with the manufacturer's <br /> certification. Information regarding the roll number, and lot number was <br /> recorded. A copy of Vector's log of geocomposite received and the <br /> manufacturer's certifications have been included within Appendix L. In <br /> accordance with the specifications, no conformance testing was conducted on <br /> the geocomposite. <br /> 5.5.2 Geocomposite Deployment <br /> The panel deployment procedure was observed and documented by <br /> Vector's CQA Monitor. The Monitor verified that the conditions of the CQA plan <br /> were met during deployment. Seam overlap, sewing, tie-ins, and other <br /> manufacturer's written guidelines were followed. All materials were checked for <br /> defects during deployment and all holes or tears were identified and repaired <br /> prior to placement of the cover materials. <br /> 5.6 Geotextile Installation <br /> Geotextile was placed above the leachate drainage layer within the base liner <br /> portion of WMU D-99. Geotextile was also used to wrap the gravel in the Class II <br /> Leachate Impoundment leak detection sump. As the material was delivered and <br /> deployed, Vector's CQA Monitor conducted testing and observations to ensure <br /> compliance with the specifications. <br /> 5.6.1 Geotextile Factory Quality Control <br /> Upon arrival by truck shipment, the unloading and storage of the <br /> geotextile rolls were observed by Vector's CQA Monitor.
