Screening vegetation will be provided around the <br /> transfer station when the operations are expanded. <br /> 7.7:6 ODOR CONTROL <br /> Odor is controlled at the landfill by (1) timeJy-placement of.daily, intermediate <br /> and final soil cover over the refuse fill; and (2) planting and maintenance of a <br /> vegetated cover on completed fill slopes. O'dofhas notbeen a problem at the <br /> site, based on the absence of formal complaints and the few residences near the <br /> site. <br /> 7.7.7 SECURITY <br /> Security fences surrounding the site limit landfill access by unauthorized persons. <br /> Gatehouse personnel control access through the landfill entrance. <br /> 7.8 TRAFFIC CONTROL G <br /> Access.,to.the site is from Austin Road, a_rural.two-aan,e,,.paved_r,oad oriented <br /> north/south which connects to Mariposa Road to the north and ultimately <br /> connects with Highway 99. French Camp-Road, Arca-Roadj-Mariposa.Rod, <br /> Interstate 5, Highway 99, and Highway 120 provide direct routes to Austin <br /> Road. <br /> There are four entrances to the site from Austin Road. The main entrance to the <br /> existing Forward Landfill is a 50-foot wide, paved road located approximately <br /> midway along the eastern boundary of the site. A second entrance area is <br /> located in the northeast corner of the property and is used to access the existing <br /> Austin Road Landfill. The entrance to the transfer station/resource recovery <br /> facility is located south of the South Branch.
