The operations layer material was taken from the on site stockpile. In the afternoon,they began to place the sump pipe in the leachate pond but the weld broke. In the early evening,the welding machine was returned to the site and the pipe and gravel were then placed. The eastern termination edge of the cell floor continued to be uncovered using the 330 excavator. 0 GSE began the day deploying the GCL which had been pulled back and completed the extrusion welding of the leachate pond sump secondary liner. By late morning they had deployed the cushion geotextile in the sump and because of the pipe delay and therefore could not deploy liner, cleaned up scrap material and cleaned the water and rocks out in preparation for tomorrow's deployment. Leak Location Services,Inc. personnel arrived on site and continued testing of the cell floor in the northern half.
