On 13 February 2009, Forward Inc. submitted their Source Control / Corrective Action
Monitoring Plan as required by Cleanup and Abatement Order (CAO) R5-2008-0714. As
submitted, the document was complete. The Discharger has proposed to install two additional
groundwater extraction wells at the northern extent of the Austin Road Landfill to prevent
pollution from moving past the point of compliance. At this time the Discharger may proceed
with the proposed field work. The CAO requires the Discharger to have the new extraction
wells be operational by 15 May 2009. If you have any questions regarding this review, please
contact me at 916-464-4679.
