Construction Schedule <br /> The start of partial closure construction activities for the FL partial closure and <br /> maintenance areas will commence once refuse fill elevations in that area are <br /> achieved. Table 2 presents the anticipated closure construction period for the <br /> 187.6-acre closure area. Closure construction activities will include the following <br /> tasks: <br /> • Equipment Mobilization <br /> • Signage <br /> • Site Exploration and Survey <br /> • Structure Removal/Demolition (last phase only) <br /> • Excavation of Final Cover Soil (foundation and vegetative layers only) <br /> • Final Cover Placement (including geomembrane) <br /> • Landfill Gas System Modifications <br /> • Permanent Drainage Control Feature Installation <br /> • Drainage Control Systems Modifications <br /> • Seed and Mulch Installation <br /> • Demobilization <br /> Some of these activities will be conducted concurrently. <br /> Construction Management <br /> A construction management team will be on-site during the entire period of closure <br /> construction. The team will be under the direction of a Construction Manager, who <br /> will supervise construction of the various features included in the closure plan. The <br /> Construction Manager will coordinate the activities of the on-site contractor(s) and <br /> will provide liaison among Allied staff, the design engineers and the contractors. <br /> Other key staff may include a Site Engineer and Construction Inspector(s). A survey <br /> crew and a geotechnical CQA crew will be present, as required. <br /> Survey Control <br /> The survey control crew, under the direction of Allied, will be responsible for <br /> the surveyed location of the closure plan improvements and for record <br /> drawing information. They will be responsible for documenting that the <br /> various components of the cover conform to the grade and/or thickness <br /> requirements of the construction drawings and specifications. <br /> CQA for Final Cover Placement <br /> The construction specifications include a CQA Plan for final cover placement. <br /> A geotechnical CQA crew, working under the direction of a Geotechnical <br /> Engineer, will be on-site full-time during the placement of the final cover to <br /> monitor compliance with project requirements.
