Submitted to: Scott Purdy (GLA) Project #: 2013-AO55 Report No.: 036 Report Date: Friday July 5, 2013 Onsite: 05:00 - 16:30 Hrs Weather: AM: 73°F Clear PM: 99°F Clear Guinn Construction Activities: 0700-1730 hrs • Guinn Construction crew will be off until 07/08 in observance of the 4th of July Holiday, except for a water truck operator. • The Contractor performed moisture conditioning of exposed clay surface at approximately two (2) hr intervals. • Personnel: (1) Operator Equipment: (1) Water truck. Comanco Lining Activities: 0500-1530 hrs • Comanco continued installation of the GCL and the single sided HDPE liners on the lower 2:1 slope. The Contractor installed the GCL and the HDPE panels starting at the toe of the slope onto the bench. The GCL panels were overlapped a minimum of 12 -inches along the length of the panels and seven (7) feet on the bench with no cross seams on the slope, granular bentonite was applied on all GCL seams. The Contractor covered and secured all GCL installed today with HDPE liner and ballast sandbags. • The Contractor installed the HDPE liner over approved GCL layer upon completion of a walkthrough inspection with the Contractor's CQC and GLA CQA personnel. The Contractor performed pre -weld tests on machine welder -technician combinations prior to the welding of the HDPE liner seams. The Contractors construction quality control (CQC) personnel marked all panels with roll and panel numbers during deployment.
