U <br />Geo-LogkASS0CIATES <br />CQA DAILY SUMMARY REPORT #048 <br />REPUBLIC SERVICES FORWARD LANDFILL, FU -13 <br />Location: Manteca, CA Owner: Republic Services <br />CQA Consultant: Geologic Associates Contractors: Guinn Construction <br />Prepared by: Jose Armenta (GLA) Comanco Environmental Corp. <br />Submitted to: Scott Purdy (GLA) <br />Project #: 2013-AO55 <br />Report No.: 048 Report Date: Friday July 19, 2013 Onsite: 05:00 - 16:30 Hrs <br />Weather: AM: 64°F Clear PM: 100°F Clear <br />Guinn Construction Activities: <br />• Guinn Construction started welding perforated 6 -inch HDPE pipe along the south side of the Cell floor. <br />• The Contractor performed moisture conditioning during work on all access roads and adjacent areas to the <br />Cell. <br />• The Contractor performed cleaning work along the west tie-in line below the 4:1 slope in order to replace <br />existing damaged Geocomposite. <br />Personnel: (3) Operators, (2) Laborers, (1) Grade Checker, (1) Supervisor <br />Equipment: (1) 140H Cat Motor -Grader, (2) Water trucks, (2) D6 Cat Dozers, (2) 637 Cat Scrapers, (1) Cat Fork- <br />lift, (1) 966 Cat Front end loader. <br />Comanco Lining Activities: 0500-1630 hrs <br />• The Contractor completed installation of the Geogrid on the top deck; continued installation of the HDPE <br />liner over approved geogrid layer upon completion of a walkthrough inspection with the Contractor's CQC <br />and GLA CQA personnel. The Contractor performed pre -weld tests on machine welder -technician <br />combinations prior to the welding of the HDPE liner seams. The Contractors construction quality control <br />(CQC) personnel marked all panels with roll and panel numbers during deployment. All DDPE liner material <br />installed was secured with ballast sand bags at the end of the work shift. <br />• The Contractor continued installation of the cushion geotextile on the Cell floor. The Contractor used air <br />blowers over the surface of the HDPE liner prior to the installation of the geotextile to remove accumulated <br />dust and debris. <br />• All geotextile materials installed today was secured with ballast sand bags at the end of the work shift. <br />PAGE 1 OF 3 <br />
