Landfill IPage 9 <br />® a three day approved asbestos workers training program <br />® any asbestos training program specific to landfill employees that has been developed, <br />described, or required by regulation by either the C1WMB or Cal -OSHA <br />• any other asbzstos training program approved by Cal -OSHA <br />(c) Provision of `Fater at the working face to keep ACM damp until covered. <br />Continuation of the annual physical evaluations of all on-site Forward employees for asbestos <br />exposure. <br />Workers will not be allowed to eat near the active landfill. <br />32 Austin 1994 (Li.f), Mustin 2000 (LI:fl <br />Working clothes from workers who have had direct contact ►pith waste, or who have <br />performed operations that may involve direct contact with wastes (such as equipment <br />maintenance or asbestos handling) should be left behind at the landfill and cleaned by the <br />operator; <br />Changing areas should be provided at the project site so that workers do not carry material <br />off-site; and <br />Dust accuinulated on non -washable items should be removed by vacuuming, not brushing or <br />blowing. <br />Ask 33 (E-2) <br />Proposed as Part of the Project: <br />The Forward Landfill "load -checking program," which is designed to mitigate against <br />hazardous waste being placed in the landfill, will continue to be implemented for the <br />consolidated landfill_ <br />Landfill operators vU be trained to recognize and properly segregate and handle hazardous <br />waste. This will include a 24-hour hazardous waste materials management training program <br />that complies with 29 CFR, Section 1910. <br />34 (E.3) <br />Proposed as Part of the Project:: <br />The Standard Safe Work Practices listed in the Forward, Inc. Site Health and Safety Program <br />and Contingency Plan will be implemented by the operator. <br />The landfill operator Rill comply with the provisions of CCR Title 27, Section 20590, which <br />requires that O& NI personnel wear and use approved safety equipment for personal heath and <br />safety. <br />Landfill access will continue to be controlled to limit unauthorized entry by persons or <br />vehicles. <br />The landfill operator Rill comply with all provisions of CCR, Title 2 7.
