Drillers continued drilling SG -13. <br />8:45 am: Completed drilling SG -13. <br />9:10 am: Natalia (Env. Health) shows up. Begin construction of SG -113. <br />9:20 am: Perforations on intermediate probe are 6 inches short, John (the driller) tells Mark (LFG) and <br />says that he'll drill 6 in extra pert. After 6 inch extra perforation drilled, Natalia agrees that length <br />of perforation is OK <br />11:45 am: Finish construction/backfill of SG -13. Natalia was present at all times. She leaves site. Mobilize <br />to Foothill Landfill (both drill crews). <br />12:10 pm: Arrive at Foothill Landfill. Mark (LFG) instructs both drill crews to drill SG -102 and SG -103. John <br />mobilizes to SG -103. <br />Very rocky drilling. Drill rig advancing slow. Many cobbles and gravel. <br />2:15 pm: Rig encounters refusal at 13 ft bgs. Trips out augers and finds that 3 of the 4 teeth have broken <br />off of drill bit. <br />3:00 pm: Mark (LFG) comes over to see broken drill bit. He tells them to drill on other side of the site <br />starting tomorrow morning. Hopefully easy drilling conditions. <br />Also today, at 12,00 pm Mark (LFG) notified me that he plans to bring out P drill rig starting <br />tomorrow at 7 am. I call Joyesh (Solid Waste) and let him know that Vector will need a Td <br />geologistlengineer to log the borings. By the end of the day Mike Carroll (Solid Waste) had <br />authorized Vector to bring a 3rd geologist for tomorrow (7/30) and Friday (7/31/). <br />4:00 pm: Leave site. <br />I= <br />Cm <br />
