Portable Circular Powersaws <br /> a. Teeth on the upper half of the saw blade must be <br /> permanently guarded. <br /> ® b. Teeth on the lower half of the saw blade must be guarded <br /> ® with a telescopic or hinged guard. <br /> ® <br /> C. Saw guards must not be blocked open to prevent guard from <br /> functioning. <br /> ® 16. Chain saws must be equipped with a control that returns to <br /> idle when released. <br /> Chain saws must have a clutch adjusted to prevent the chain <br /> drive from engaging at idling speed. <br /> ® 17 . Portable compressors on wheels must be prevented from rolling. <br /> Safety valves must be popped at least weekly. <br /> Air tanks require a permit issued by DOSH. <br /> ® Exception: Tanks smaller than 1.5 cubic feet with safety <br /> ® devices set to operate below 150 psi. <br /> EQUIPMENT AND VEHICLES <br /> ® 1. Only authorized persons shall operate machinery or equipment. <br /> ® 2 .
