2. To establish top of subgrade grading, provide "point-on point" coordinates
and finish grade elevations on a 50-foot grid and more frequent in irregular
areas and along slope grades.
3. Establish stake-out coordinates for the location of each subgrade location for
the point-on-point established grid. Subsequent surveys for the verification
of the prepared subgrade and subsequent vegetation soil and earthfill layer
surface elevations and thickness shall be located at the same point-on-point
grid locations, and along LFG pipe trenches and edges of prepared subgrade
for GCL placement, and drainage and operations layers where placed, as
outlined in Article 1.04 E.1.
4. Provide one set of offset stakes for the drainage ditches at 25-foot intervals.
5. Provide verification surveys on the established point-on-point grid; provide
verification surveys for LFG pipe trenches and for drainage take off at
flowlines at 25-foot on center and angle points for future reference and record
drawings. Verification surveys shall also be provided along the edge of GCL
placement.
6. The verification survey data for layer surface elevations and the final GCL
cover, earthfill, vegetative soil layer, and aggregate base thicknesses shall be
compiled in tabular format to verify each layer point-on-point grid location
surface is within grade tolerance and meets minimum thickness requirements,
and shall be submitted to the Engineer for review prior to the placement of
the next component. The Engineer shall have up to 2 working days to review
the survey data. The Engineer's review does not relieve the Contractor of the
responsibility for achieving the specified grades within allowed tolerances
and the minimum layer thicknesses.
C_ Anchor Trench/ Liner Limit Survey
1. Stake location of GCL limit per plan details at 5046ot on center and angle
points.
2. Provide verification survey for GCL limit location.
3. Survey and calculate the total area on which geosynthetic material was or
will be placed.,
D. Final Soil Layer and Earthfill Soil Layers Survey
1. Upon completion of drainage layer, and sub the earthfill layer, check layer
' thicknesses and mark differences on Engineer approved survey markers.
SHAW ENV/RONMENTAL, INC.
San Joaquin County—Extension of Cap Corral Hollow Sanitary Landfill—Final_CH_TS.Doc Rev. 0,09/28/2011
Layout of Work and Surveys
01052-3
