The Contractor shall transmit each submittal to the Engineer for review in <br />accordance with this section with sufficient time for return for correction or <br />rejection, and resubmittal(s) for the Engineer's final approval. The Contractor <br />shall obtain acceptance of applicable submittals before applicable material <br />shipment. <br />3. The Contractor shall transmit separate submittals by each Specification <br />Section. The Register shall include submittal delivery dates, required return <br />dates, material delivery dates, and other pertinent data required to ensure that <br />the project schedule is met by the Contractor. <br />4. The Contractor shall update the accepted Submittal Register weekly to reflect <br />progress and any additions or deletions to the Submittal Register. Copies of <br />the updated Submittal Register shall be furnished to the Engineer. <br />B. Shop Drawings: <br />1. Shop drawings shall establish the actual detail of all manufactured or <br />fabricated items, indicate proper relation of adjoining work, and incorporate <br />minor changes of design or construction to suit actual conditions. Shop <br />drawings shall be drawn to scale and shall be completely dimensioned. Do not <br />use reproductions of the Construction Drawings. <br />2. Sheet sizes of shop drawings shall be 8-1/2 inches by 11 inches, 11 inches by <br />17 inches, 17 inches by 22 inches, 22 inches by 34 inches, or 34 inches by <br />44 inches. <br />3. A clear space of 3 -inches by 3 -inches shall be provided on each drawing for <br />the Engineer's review stamp and comments. <br />4. Shop drawings shall be submitted to the Engineer on bond paper. <br />' 5. After the Engineer has completed his review of shop drawings, he will return <br />copies to the Contractor indicating the approval status as described in <br />Article 1.01.x. <br />C. Samples: <br />1. The Contractor shall furnish the Engineer at least three (3) samples of each of <br />the various materials, except field testing samples, together with the finish <br />thereon, as specified for and intended to be used on or in the Work. <br />2. The Contractor shall submit all samples to the Engineer for review and obtain <br />written acceptance from Engineer before purchasing, fabricating, applying, or <br />installing such materials and finishes, unless otherwise stated.
