Construction Specifications — The qualitative requirements for products, materials, and <br /> P <br /> workmanship upon which the construction is based. Construction specifications are also referred to <br /> as contract specifications,specifications, and/or special provisions. <br /> CQA Manager — The monitoring firin responsible for implementation of the CQA program. The <br /> CQA Manager also may act as the Engineer when designated to do so. <br /> CQA Engineer —A civil engineer, registered in the State of California as required by 27 CCR <br /> 20324(b)(2), who is responsible for observing, verifying, and documenting the Extension of <br /> Closure Cap of the CHU and for preparing, signing, and sealing the Construction Completion <br /> Report. <br /> CQA Monitor—A designated site representative of the CQA Engineer responsible for observing <br /> and documenting field conditions and tests. <br /> Daily Report — A record of construction progress prepared by the CQA manager which <br /> documents construction on a daily basis as outlined in sections 2.4.4 and 6.1 of this CQA plan. <br /> Design Engineer—The individual or firm responsible for the design and preparation of the project <br /> Construction Drawings and Specifications. <br /> Earthwork — A construction activity,involving the .use of soil materials as defined in the <br /> construction specifications. <br /> Excavation — Excavation of materials from areas identified on the Construction Drawings. The <br /> process may require exclusion of unsuitable materials. <br /> Geosynthetic — a planar product manufactured from polymeric material used with soil, rock, <br /> earth, or other geotechnically related material as an integral part of a man-made project, structure <br /> or system. The collective term for geotextiles and geosynthetic clay liners used on this project. <br /> Geocomposite — A geosynthetic material consisting of an HDPE geonet core with a geotextile <br /> heat-bonded to both sides,which is used to transmit fluids. <br /> Geomembrane - A geosynthetic lining material also referred to as flexible membrane liner, <br /> membrane, liner, or sheet. <br /> Geotextile— Woven or nonwoven synthetic fabric, manufactured for use as a filter, separator, or <br /> reinforcement in geotechnical applications. <br /> CH CQA Plan 041712 Rev2a.doc 1-3 Construction QualityAssurance Plan <br />
