Corral Hollow Landfill Operational Procedures Document
• Nine (9) multi-depth perimeter gas migration monitoring probes, installed in soils
around the landfill perimeter. ,
Regulatory and Permit Operational Requirements
The GCCS at the Corral Hollow Landfill is operated and monitored in accordance with the '
following permit requirements, rules and regulations of state and local regulatory agencies:
• San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVAPCD) Permit to Operate i
(PTO)No.N-4363-2-1
• Central Valley RWQCB Waste Discharge Requirements (WDRs) and Monitoring and
Reporting Program(MRP)No. R5-2013-0013.
• SJVAPCD Rule 4642. '
• California Air Resource Board(CARB) Landfill Methane Rule (LMR)AB32. ,
• California Code of Regulations Title 27 (27 CCR) requirements for subsurface
combustible gas migration control. '
GCCS MONITORING AND OPERATION
To achieve the operational objectives of the CDO and to optimize system performance, a '
program of GCCS inspections, operations, adjustments and maintenance activities are performed
on key equipment and components of the systems. Operating and monitoring procedures for the '
landfill gas systems are described for the following:
• Blower/Flare Station '
• Gas Collection System
• Perimeter Gas Probes
Blower/Flare Station '
Monthly, the BFS will be monitored for proper operation, and to ensure there is no system '
damage, or malfunctioning components. These inspections will include observing and recording
the following:
• Date, time, and monitoring personnel. '
• Meteorological conditions (i.e., wind velocity, barometric pressure, ambient '
temperature, and weather conditions).
• Extraction blower operating inlet/outlet temperatures and pressures. ,
• Methane, oxygen, carbon dioxide, balance gas concentrations at flare inlet.
2
