To avoid submergence in the future, we installed new well GWAA with three sampling
sections (rock filled), the deepest of which extends from approximately 50 to 70 feet deep, thereby
avoiding the groundwater at the time of installation. The perforated section of the sampling pipe
was installed in the upper five feet of the sampling section to prevent submergence of the
perforated section.
Although I do not believe it likely that the groundwater table will rise to the top of the deep sampling
section, I felt it prudent to design the well to avoid any possible future submergence, especially in
light of the submergence of the bottom of the previous well.
If you have any questions, please call me at (209) 468-8504.
Sincerely,
W.
