The French Camp Landfill is located at the intersection of <br />•Downing Avenue and Manthey Road, Stockton, CA in Section 22, <br />T1 -N, R6E, MD & B. The City of Stockton is the owner of the <br />facility. The contract operator is Gambi Enterprises, Inc. <br />B. The French Camp Landfill is located on 73.43 acres and is a <br />class III Landfill. The map of the facility is in Appendix A. <br />C. The facility has a scale and scalehouse. <br />D. Types of waste received: <br />a. Leaves and garden refuse <br />b. Construction/Demolition wastes <br />C. Clean fill dirt <br />d. Asphalt and concrete <br />E. The landfill has a peak daily load of 470 tons. <br />F The -landfill operation is the area fill method. When the <br />waste is deposited in the working face, it is pushed against <br />the previous day covered waste cell and spread into 2 -foot <br />layers. The waste is compacted, and 6 inches of daily cover <br />is placed over the working face at the end of the working day. <br />G. When the City of Stockton's source reduction and recycling <br />elements are developed then the City of Stockton can determine <br />what recycling methods should be utilized at the landfill. <br />H. The facility has implemented a hazardous waste screening <br />program in response to state laws which prohibit the handling <br />of hazardous waste at the landfill.
