KLEINFELDER <br /> 5 CONSTRUCTION CONTROL <br /> 5.1 STOPPAGE OF WORK <br /> The SJDPW, as project administrator and engineer, will control construction work. The <br /> construction forces, whether operators of SJDPW or a construction contractor to the <br /> County, will be under the supervision of the project engineer and direct supervision'of the <br /> field construction supervisor. Kleinfelder will observe construction activities and advise the <br /> County of deficiencies in the quality of work observed through field observation, review of <br /> the SJDPW field notes, or CQA test data. <br /> In addition, regulatory agencies such as the LEA, CIWMB, or RWQCB may observe <br /> construction and may request that the Project Manager/Engineer stop work if they <br /> perceive deficiencies. <br /> 5.2 GRADE CONTROL <br /> The SJDPW (or a qualified land survey contractor) will provide grade stakes and survey <br /> control notes and guidance to construction operators during the project. The SJDPW will <br /> check that the grades called out in the field staking are in accordance with the Closure <br /> ,T <br /> Plan, or an approved as-built modification by the Engineer, and provide direction to the <br /> operators of deficiencies for corrective action. <br /> The grade control for the following will be verified using grade control stakes at 100-foot <br /> centers: <br /> • Top and thickness of foundation <br /> ® Barrier layer <br /> • Top of vegetative layer <br /> The vertical control accuracy will be plus or minus 0.05 feet.
