A sealed double
ring infiltrometer (SDRI) test run on a mixture of 20 percent Ione clay and silty sand borrow
materials indicated a field permeability of 2.7 x 10' cm/sec. A laboratory permeability
acquired from this test pad was 8.6 x 10$ cm/sec. Hydrometer and Atterberg Limits test
results on this test pad are as follows in Table I:
TABLE I: SUMMARY OF FIRST TEST PAD RESULTS
Hydrometer
Test Pad Analysis Percent Plasticity Liquid
Soil Description Sand Silt Clay Index Limit
Red-brown
clayey sand 64 18 18 3 23
(SC)
The second test pad was located at the southwest corner of the secondary landfill site.
