® i. Historical groundwater elevation monitoring data for the site;
ii. Historical analytical monitoring data for each unit;
The historical data above shall be provided in tabular format(s) necessary for statistical
analysis (e.g., Excel). Historical data for at least the previous 10 years shall be provided,
or for as long as monitoring has been conducted at a given unit/well if less than 10 years.
Each table shall be organized such as specified in C.1.d to clearly show historical
concentrations at each well.
iii. A copy of the monitoring report in PDF format.
A compact disk is included with this report and this report will be uploaded to GeoTracker.
g. Evidence to the Regional Board's Executive Officer, per WDR Provision G.7, that acceptable
financial assurance instrument(s) have been provided for post-closure and corrective action (e.g.,
an acceptance letter from the CIWMB—Financial Assurance Division). This is included in
Appendix I.
Groundwater
MW-1 (Up-gradient): No general water quality parameters were exceeded in MW-1 during the
first or second semester 2012.
No VOCs were detected in MW-1 during the first or second semester 2012.
® A decreasing trend in turbidity and increasing trends in EC and Chloride were observed in MW-1
during the first and second semester 2012. No other trends were observed in MW-1 during 2012.
MW-2 (Impacted):
No general water quality parameter concentration limits were exceeded in MW-2 during the first
or second semester 2012 sampling events, with the exception of EC and turbidity, which was
exceeded during the second semester 2012 sampling event.
A trace concentration of PCE was reported in M -2 during the second semester 2012 sampling
event. VOCs were not detected in MW-2 during the first semester 2012 sampling event. VOCs
have historically been present in MW-2 so the PCE observation during the second semester 2012
sampling event was not considered a new release. VOCs will continue to be checked for at this
well during the next semiannual event.
Historically, the impact to groundwater at MW-2 has been believed to be due to landfill gas, as
indicated by the presence of the following VOCs:
• CFC-12 (last reported second semester 2007)
• 1,2-Dichloropropane (last reported in 2006)
• PCE (last reported second semester 2012)
Harney Lane Sanitary Landfill 10 Department of Public Works/Solid Waste
2"d Semester and Annual 2012 Groundwater Monitoring Report County of San Joaquin—January 25,2013
