0
(c) The County instructed us to delay activities
designed to address conditions at the site to
allow the County to review and approve in advance
activities proposed by us; and
(d) While it is not feasible to address the various
conditions at the site in a separate piece -meal
fashion, an integrated response addressing
various conditions at the site is appropriate and
feasible.
As instructed by the County, prior to implementing activities
to address conditions at the site, we will await input and
approval of our plans following our upcoming meeting with the
County and other interested agencies. Thus the conditions
discussed in the inspection report of March 4, 1993, will not
be addressed by April 4, 1993.
However, we intend to actively proceed with preparation of
both the grading plan and the amendment to the RDSI. These
documents are expected to provide the County and the other
various agencies with all the information necessary to
provide input and approval of our proposal. Once that
approval is provided we will diligently proceed to address
the conditions at the site. We intend to submit the grading
plan and a summary of the proposed amendment to the RSDI
promptly upon their completion, and will contact the County
soon thereafter to discuss those documents and to schedule a
meeting with the County and the other agencies to discuss the
site. Please forward a copy of this letter to any interested
agency.
We are committed to continuing landfilling activities at the
site in a responsible, environmentally conscientious manner,
and appreciate the County's assistance and suggestions.
We look forward to continuing to interact in a cooperative
manner with the County and the various other agencies.
cc: Mr. Ed Padilla
Mr. Steve Sasson
Mr. Tim Crandall
Mr. Dave Sadwick
Sincerely,
COVE CO CTORS, INC.
bk P.
