and entered into a computer data base. Records of monthly quantities <br />of recyclable materials received, sold and inventoried are also <br />recorded. Inventory records include the material location, volume and <br />density. Density of the incoming material is determined using a bulk <br />density test. Density of the waste material is used to convert the <br />weight into volume. Outgoing waste is weighed and a record is <br />maintained for the facility. <br />3.4.2 SPECIAL OCCURRENCES <br />Operating personnel are trained to report any special occurrences to <br />the MRF and transfer station supervisors. The supervisors report the <br />incident to the General Manager. All site managers and supervisors <br />are authorized to make an entry in the Special Occurrences Log Book. <br />Special occurrences that may be recorded in the log book include: <br />• Fire <br />• Injury <br />Property• damagz <br />• Explosions <br />• Hazardous Waste Incidents <br />• Flooding <br />• Other unusual occurrences <br />The log records the date, time and a detailed explanation of the <br />incident.
