Existing truck trailers, unused equipment and materials would be sold, <br /> recycled or disposed off-site. <br /> The following existing structures and use areas would continue under the <br /> proposed project: <br /> Construction and demolition (C&D) tipping and waste processing area <br /> Cardboard, wood and scrap metal processing and storage areas. The <br /> assumed pile height for these areas is 5 feet, 15 feet and 10 feet, <br /> respectively <br /> Maintenance building, located in the northwest portion of the existing facility, <br /> east of F Street <br /> Northern 2,850 square feet of existing warehouse building located <br /> immediately west of F Street <br /> Existing truck and employee parking located south of Weber Avenue, <br /> although this area would be repaved and reconfigured <br /> Proposed improvements to the expanded ESRTS site would include new <br /> buildings, pavement of the entire project site, development of a new access from <br /> Weber Avenue, construction of a new truck scale and the installation of <br /> recyclable materials handling equipment. Proposed improvements are <br /> summarized below. <br /> A new access to the site would be constructed in the block west of F Street, <br /> near the west site boundary. The access would be a 40-foot wide paved <br /> driveway leading north, then east to the proposed truck scale facility. <br /> A truck scale and scalehouse would be provided, as shown on Figure 2-8. <br /> The scale would be located immediately south of the remainder of the <br /> warehouse building located west of F Street. <br /> New paved area in the vicinity of the proposed Weber Avenue access will <br /> provide a truck queuing area, which would accommodate approximately 15 <br /> trucks on the project site at one time. This would exceed the estimated five <br /> to six trucks of stacking that would be needed. <br /> A new single-story partially-enclosed building 33,400 square feet in size <br /> would be constructed to accommodate the handling of single-stream <br /> recyclables. The building would accommodate tipping areas, sorting lines <br /> and storage of materials for export.
