KLE/NFEL®ER
Bright People.Right Solutions.
Existing walls and oleander shrubbery along the perimeter of the project site will
be maintained. The perimeter of the expanded site, including the abandoned
portion of F Street, will be defined by chain link fencing.. Oleander shrubs will be
installed in these areas, similar to the existing site perimeter. The area south of
Weber Avenue will not be landscaped.
Existing lighting systems will be augmented to support after-dark operations.
New and existing improved site lighting will be shielded to prevent light and glare
impacts on surrounding properties.
As shown on the existing conditions and proposed site plan figures, an existing
lot line that divides the maintenance garage from the remainder of the existing
site will be relocated to divide the western portion of the site from the
construction and demolition materials processing area.
2.4.6 Off-Site Improvements
New curb, gutter and sidewalk, outside of proposed or existing driveways, will be
installed along the frontage portion of the expansion parcel. Existing curb,
gutter, sidewalk on other portions of the project site frontage on Filbert Street
and Weber Avenue will be replaced if cracked or broken.
2.4.7 On-Site Mobile Equipment
Mobile equipment that would be operated on the project site would include one
forklift, two front end loaders, and a bobcat or similar size loader. Additional
rolling stock will be added as needed to manage the additional materials. A
portion of the rolling stock will be transferred to ESRTS operation from the
Lincoln Street site.
2.5 Operations
2.5.1 Hours of Operation
ESRTS would operate seven days per week, 24 hours per day. The facility
would receive materials from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
and from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Peak arrival times
would be between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00
p.m. ESRTS presently operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00
p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Existing on-site operations that
are conducted outside would operate under existing hours, 24-hour operational
hours would take place within the proposed enclosed processing facility.
The time of delivery of recyclables is under the control of the waste hauling
companies rather than JHW. JHW has estimated arrival times, as reflected in
121339/ST011 R209 2-9 September 16,2011
Copyright 2011 Kleinfelder
