r
KLE,NF-ELDER
Bright People.Right Solutions.
side of F Street and the north side of a portion of the alley between Weber Avenue and
Myrtle Avenue, and between E Street and F Street. The locations of the proposed
noise barriers are shown on Figure 3-8. The noise barriers would need to be
constructed of a material with a minimum surface weight of four pounds per square foot
and have no visible cracks or gaps, especially at the base.
The applicant has agreed to these mitigation measures provided that suitable access for
fire control can be maintained at F Street. With the inclusion of these mitigation
measures, CSAI indicates that noise generated by the project can be reduced to the
rfollowing levels:
Nearest Residential Properties
Daytime Le 48 dBA
Y q
Nighttime Leq 44 dBA
Lmax 65 dBA
Nearest Commercial Properties
Daytime Leq q 53 dBA
Nighttime Leq 49 dBA
Lmax 73 dBA
The project levels, with mitigation, are below the applicable City standards. Therefore,
with the inclusion of the following mitigation measures, the proposed use of the project
site would not result in significant noise impacts.
Level of Significance: Significant
Mitigation Measures:
1. The proposed project shall construct minimum 8-foot noise barriers at the
r locations shown on Figure 3-8 prior to proposed operations. The noise barriers
shall be constructed of a material with a minimum surface weight of four
pounds per square foot and have no visible cracks or gaps, especially at the
base.
Significance After Mitigation: Less than significant
rImplementation: The ODS will be responsible for design and construction of noise
barriers.
rMonitoring: The Community Development Department will be responsible for ensuring
that noise barriers have been constructed as required prior to project operation.
1
121339/ST011 R226 3-50 October 14, 2011
Copyright 2011 Kleinfelder
